Government House Adelaide is the oldest consistently occupied Government House in Australia. It is the working home of the Governor South Australia.

His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR Governor of South Australia and Mrs Liz Scarce invite community volunteers to participate in special guided tours of the public rooms of the House.

Training & Development

VSA&NT is the one stop shop for the training of Volunteers, Volunteer Managers and Volunteer Coordinators. We aim to provide you with information that is interesting, informative and inspirational. Our workshops are designed to offer simple solutions to ongoing issues as well as providing solutions to longer term, more complex issues.

The workshops are conducted by professional trainers in an environment that enables discussion, the exchange of information and the development of core skills. A wide range of standard training courses are provided free of charge.

2010 Training

2010 began with a successful Summer School offering favourites such as Supervision and Leadership, Communication Skills for Volunteers, Introduction to Volunteer Management and National Standards.

Regional Training

This training is coordinated and delivered by VSA&NT and funded by FaHCSIA for regional leadership development for managers of volunteers and volunteers. Delivered by Volunteering SA & NT Inc the 3 hour workshops aim to build leadership skills.

Workshops have been delivered to the following regions: Port Augusta, Barossa, Mid Murray, Whyalla, Clare, Alice Springs, Riverland and Mount Gambier with sessions planned for Port Lincoln and Darwin. For more information on Regional Leadership Development contact Liam Hanna on 08 8221 7177.

Customised Training

VSA&NT can organise specific training including workshops for a single organisation or encourage organisations to work together as a partnership, thereby maximizing participation and reducing costs. The details of customised training can be negotiated as required.
