Would You Like To Visit Government House? Government House Adelaide is the oldest consistently occupied Government House in Australia. It is the working home of the Governor South Australia.
His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR Governor of South Australia and Mrs Liz Scarce invite community volunteers to participate in special guided tours of the public rooms of the House.

Janet Stone MBA, FAICD Chairperson Janet has been the Chairperson of VSA & NT for the past 6 years. Her background in marketing and building business and community links is highly valued. Janet represents VSA & NT on the State Government's Volunteer Ministerial Advisory Group (VMAG). She has been VSA & NT's Foundation Board member of Volunteering Australia (VA), the national peak body for volunteering, for the past 4 years and recently completed her term as VA President. Building the organisation and volunteering through state and national collaboration, partnership programs, corporate volunteering, and governance are initiatives Janet is fostering and progressing at VSA & NT. |

Julie Pollard Deputy Chairperson Julie is currently Regional Manager SA/NT for the National Institute of Accountants after working and living in Melbourne for over 3 years. A highly experienced marketing and communications executive with a passion for branding, Julie's previous role was as CEO for Volunteering Australia (based in Melbourne) - a 6 month contract with a brief to rebuild, reinvigorate and stimulate not only the organisation itself, but also stakeholder relationships; to ensure sustainability while providing a solid foundation for the future.
Julie holds a Graduate Certificate in Management and has worked in marketing in the Tourism Industry, HomeStart Finance, the Australian Institute of Management and The Cancer Council of South Australia, as Group Executive Marketing and Communications. While in Melbourne, Julie took on the role of National Marketing and Communications Manager for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, leading a team to increase revenue, re-branding and building strong relationships with national corporate partners. |

Tim Jackson Treasurer Tim became the first Chief Executive Officer of the City of Playford in 1997 following the amalgamation of the Cities of Elizabeth and Munno Para in South Australia. Prior to this he was General Manager of Operations for the City of Stonnington which was at the forefront of Local Government reform in Victoria in the mid 1990's.
Tim has formal qualifications in local government management together with over 30 years experience. His extensive experience in change management was gained from being involved in the merger of councils in two states. |

Mark Witham Board Member VA The current SA representative on the Volunteering Australia Board, Mark is also General Manager, Client Services within Public Trustee, a position he has held for the past 6 years. He was previously Director Resource Allocation in the Department of Education and Children's Services.
Mark has a degree in economics from the University of Adelaide and a PhD from James Cook University. He is an active volunteer in education, recreation and environmental endeavours. As a Board member of VSA&NT, Mark hopes to bring economic and social dividends together through volunteering and community enterprise. |

Evelyn O'Loughlin VSA&NT CEO The CEO of Volunteering SA&NT, Evelyn has 13 years experience in executive management roles. She previously held positions in government, community education, public relations, community health and children services and spent eleven years overseas with a multinational and a London based organisation.
Evelyn has had extensive practical experience in the not-for-profit sector, initially as General Manager of the Greek Orthodox Community of SA (GOCSA) and is at present Chair of Multicultural Aged Care; Board Member of the Migrant Resource Centre SA; a member of the Council on the Ageing (COTA) Policy Council and member of the Special Olympics 2010 Games Organising Committee. Her other personal memberships include SACOSS, Multicultural Communities Council, Migrant Women's Lobby Group, Operation Flinders and GOCSA. A first generation Greek-Australian, Evelyn recognises that people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds have particular needs and require specific representation. |

Karen Buenger, Adv Diploma Community Services (Volunteer Management)
Karen is Vice President Australasian Association of Volunteer Administrators (AAVA) and past President 2007 - 2008.
She developed her passion for the Volunteering life at the age of 17 with the South Australian Scout Association, and continued working in Volunteering when she joined the Red Cross and later as Volunteer Coordinator for Helping Hand's, Health & Wellbeing Program. She is a current member of the Central Volunteer Managers Network; the Local Government Volunteer Managers Forum; TAFE SA Quality Assurance Group and current Vice Chair of the Local Government Community Transport Forum. Karen is currently the Acting Manager of Community & Volunteer Development at City of Prospect. |

Joe Capozza FAIM Cp Mgr, Dip Mgt Joe Capozza is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Women's Housing Association which will be implementing a volunteer program in support of their tenants. Until December 2009, he was Director of The Volunteer Service for Flinders Medical Centre Inc since 2002 where he was responsible for over 570 volunteers with many varied roles within a South Australian public hospital environment.
Joe has had over 12 years experience in the non-profit industry working with both corporate volunteers and health related services. He was Executive Officer for various Industry Associations with Business SA for 2 years and, prior to that, 6 years with the Australian Kidney Foundation as State Manager SA/NT.
Joe volunteered with Volunteering SA & NT on the Finance and Business Development Committee for 2 years and also volunteers with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a 'wish granter.' |

Richard Geyer VSA&NT Staff Representative Richard has 45 years experience in the computer industry and has been a member of the Australian Computer Society for 35 years. During his career he worked for multi-nationals and Government Agencies. His work included mainframe engineering, technical training, operations and project management, network design, and the establishment and management of large-scale computing facilities contracts. Richard has tertiary qualifications in electronics, computing and workplace training. He retired in early 2004 and keeps busy with volunteer work for Volunteering SA&NT and the Rostrum organisation. Richard is the staff representative on the VSA&NT Board. |

Bruce Hammond
Bruce is a proud husband and father of three who successfully ran and owned Australia's first wholly owned Aboriginal ICT Company - Advanced Technology Services - and was in business for seven years supporting the Aboriginal and wider communities in SA.
He has previously been Senior Policy Officer, Department for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation; Ministerial Liaison Officer - the late Terry Roberts (MLC); Research officer for the Mortlock Library and State Records Office and is Chair, VSA NT Aboriginal Reference Group, while finding time to volunteer for the Port Districts Football Club.
Currently, Bruce is Indigenous Land Management Facilitator - Dept for the Environment, Water Heritage and the Arts (Federal). |
