National Volunteer Week (NVW) is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our communities and to say thank you to the more than 6.4 million Australians who volunteer


Event Volunteering

Volunteers are vital when it comes to events:

They can organise be involved in event management; promote environmental sustainability at WOMAD;  supporting artists at festivals, writers week and numerous other installations; help keep everyone entertained; do traffic control at picnic race meetings; time keep at the Arafura Games ... and the list goes on and on.

Volunteers Needed For The Alice Springs Masters Games

A large number of people are required to ensure the smooth running of the Games, with the following skills:

 

  • computer and office skills
  • labourers (maintenance & trade skills)
Dates and times required: 13- 20 October 2012 - all day (also prior to the Games to help set up and prepare) at various locations around Alice Springs.Training is provided.
