Training For Volunteer Managers
To increase professionalism in volunteer management, VSA&NT offers many training opportunities to support Volunteer Managers and Coordinators in their day-to-day roles as well as those which provide on-going professional development.
National Standards Workshop for Volunteer Involving Organisations National Standards Training - Best Practice is a 2-day Workshop designed to increase professionalism in volunteering through quality assurance and accreditation system. The National Standards is a best practice framework that identifies the 8
key facets of a good volunteer program and is led by consultant Teresa
Forest.
A good volunteer program requires an understanding of a number of important parts:
- what do you need your volunteers to do
- who will manage them
- how often do they need to be there etc.
This workshop sets the benchmark for best practice: a well managed program and volunteers who are engaged will have expectations satisfied.
