National Volunteer Week Parade

Help kick off National Volunteer Week! Join us for the Parade along King William Street.
Adelaide is the only city in Australia that blocks off its streets to recognise volunteers. So let's make the most of it and pull out all stops! Volunteers and Volunteering-Involving-Organisations, this Parade is for YOU! Wear your uniforms and bring service vehicles. Mascots and four-legged assistants also very welcome.

Port Pirie Region Community Volunteer Recognition Event
The Community Volunteer Working Group is hosting a Community Recognition event on Monday 11th May in Port Pirie, The event will kick off with a volunteer march at 10.30am from "City Park"  the corner of Ellen Street & Alexander Street finishing at Flinders View Park also in Ellen Street.
This will be followed be an official recognition speech by Mayor John Rhode and a free Sausage Sizzle & refreshments.

Holiday Explorers Movie Screening

In celebration of the National Volunteer Week 2015, Adelaide City Council is hosting an invitation only Special Presentation by His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AO, Governor of South Australia. Adelaide City Council volunteers and volunteers from involving and volunteering organisations across the City will be attending the presentation as His Excellency shares his personal story travelling to Australia, including the impact of volunteers on his early life in Adelaide. The session is now fully booked.

NT Volunteer of the Year Awards Presentations

The NT Volunteer of the Year Awards highlight exemplary volunteer work and recognise their invaluable contribution to communities in the Northern Territory.

The Awards are an initiative of the Northern Territory Government in collaboration with Volunteering SA&NT.
The Chief Minister will present the winners of the Awards on the following dates:
